The Parcelator
is a Telescopic Belt Conveyor designed predominantly for the loading and unloading of vehicles and containers. With control at the point of delivery, a high volume of goods can be loaded and unloaded in a safe, quick and efficient manner. This robust solution, built with high quality components such as Schneider Electrics and SEW motors, the Parcelator is capable of transporting parcels at a rate of up to 1200 parcels per hour.

The Parcelator by Mobility Engineering is a telescopic belt conveyor (also known as a boom conveyor). This type of conveyor is predominantly used for the loading and unloading of high volumes from vehicles and shipping containers. From a dock, vehicles such as vans, trucks and articulated lorries can be loaded or unloaded in a safe, quick and efficient manner. A safety cut out bar as well as controls for stop/start, forward and reverse are conveniently located at the front end of the conveyor. This is a robust solution and is capable of transporting up to 1,200 parcels per hour.

The main advantages of this type of system are the telescopic and reversibility functions. Whilst loading or unloading the vehicle, retract/extend and forward/reverse buttons, are located on the front of the machine. This enables the operator to easily, and automatically, load or empty the vehicle without going repeatedly backwards and forwards inside the vehicle. The length of extension all depends on the size of the vehicle.

Using SEW Eurodrive motors/gearboxes and Schneider electrics, The Parcelator has a loading capacity of 60Kg per metre, with widths of 600mm and 800mm, and a nominal speed of 30m/min (variable, 20 to 45m/min). Front facing lights are also incorporated, which is ideal when working inside a vehicle. All these variables, as well as increasing throughput, enhance the operatives working conditions and movement.
To protect against the possibility of crushing, a safety bar at the extending end of the conveyor will automatically stop and retract the conveyor on meeting any resistance.

As an example, the most widely used Parcelator (MOB-P-F-4-6-12.6) has a 6,000mm base (retracted length), with a 12,600mm Extension, thus giving a total extended length of 18,600mm and a height of 820mm from ground level to top of belt. Please see below for the full range of configurations. There is also an additional option to incorporate a hydraulic tilt function, which would give an elevation of -0.5 Degrees to +3 degrees. This additonal flexibility can make it easier for the operator to handle freight at different heights within the vehicle.
