How much space do I need for the Parcelator Telescopic Conveyor

The primary consideration when selecting the Parcelator Telescopic Conveyor is it’s extended length. It should be long enough to extend into the lorry or container that you intend to load or unload.

If the vehicle you require is 13m (13,000mm)  this can easily be determined by referring to the ‘B’ dimension of our configuration table (see below). In this instance choosing a configuration of 14,600mm will be sufficient. Should the extendable conveyor need to be placed behind a dock leveller (to be used for both palletized and loose loaded goods) then a longer extendability might be required.

When the Parcelator is not in use the conveyor can be retracted to it’s base length (A) . The base unit needs to be long enough to store the extended sections. If space is limited it may be that a unit with more, but shorter extensions, will give a shorter base unit. For example, a boom conveyor with an overall length of 21,600mm and comprising of 4 sections has a base length of 7,000mm. A boom conveyor with an overall length of 22,000mm but with 5 shorter sections has a base length of just 6,000mm.

The different parameters will all need to be considered:
